Fried, Boiled, or Mashed Poratoes?

Yesterday's class was pretty interesting, especially since we were in a different lab. I liked the presentation of Hot Potatoes. I think this tool will be very useful for the CMC project that is due in a few weeks. Combined with Trackstar and other programs that have been done over the semester, I think all of our groups will form excellent lessons.

Dira's presentation regarding MS Word was very itneresting. I didn't know about some of the features that he showed us. I liked the comparing one, I think that would be a great tool for both students and teachers. Nhon's presentation was also really good.. I showed us how we can utilyze free software on the internet to conform to the demands of our various classes.

I was hoping we could have showed off some of our lessons that we made. I really had fun with mine and am really eager to further explore the potential of Trackstar.

  1. I hope we can share our lessons as well. I would like to see what other students designed or what approach they took to the assignment. Perhaps Dr. Smidt will save time for that next week.

  2. It was fun having a different environment again :)
I also think it would be interesting to see how others did their lessons.

  3. Here's the link to my project, if anyone is interested. http://trackstar.4teachers.org/trackstar/ts/viewTrack.do?number=414765

I integrated a podcast in mine, which actually took a long time to record because of my screwing up my words!

  5. Yeah. I also like Hot Potatoes because I plan to use it as a testing device for my future teaching. I think you made a good point that integrating this into your lesson on Trackstar. Quite frankly, when using it, I realized I need to set up the time limit when doing the test, but I didn't know. I want to know whether other options should be integrated to make it possible.

  6. Much appreciation ladies and gentlemen. It is encouraging to learn that we have a lot to learn from each other. So far, I have gained a lot of information from all technology tools demonstrated in our class. James has been doing a great job too. Viva happy learning Viva!
